University of Galway set to host annual postgraduate open evening

University of Galway is ready to host their 2023 postgraduate open day today 7 November, from 4 – 7 pm in the Bailey Allen Hall. Holding a variety of talks and presentations, the aim is to give prospective students an insight into master’s and PhD programmes within the institute. Â
According to the university’s website, from 4.15 pm an expert postgraduate panel will host talks about a multitude of topics including fees, funding, careers, employability, and student experience.
At 7 pm there will be a talk from the Dean of Graduate Students, Professor Donal Leech where he will discuss studying at the University and ‘How to Fund Your PhD’.
Many of the colleges will be exhibiting, including the College of Arts Social Sciences & Celtic Studies, College of Business, Public Policy, & Law, College of Medicine, Nursing, & Health Sciences, College of Science and Engineering, as well as the Centre for Adult Learning & Professional Development. Staff from the Graduate Studies Office will also be present to discuss PhD and research masters with attendees.
As well as this, a guided tour of the campus is available for prospective students to get a glimpse of what the campus has to offer. With representatives from the colleges, visitors can learn about the postgraduate taught courses and what registering for their courses will entail.
