Boojum is celebrating the return to full-scale fresher’s week since 2019 by giving out 1,500 free burritos in the Galway outlet for those with a valid student ID.
This giveaway is part of Boojum’s ‘Buy 1 Bank 1 promotion’. Any student who purchases any main meal this Thursday, the 22nd of September, will receive one free meal to bank for later.
Students upon doing this will receive a B1B1 voucher, entitling them to a free main meal between the 1st – 31st of October. There is a limit of one voucher per person.

Paul McCullagh, Boojum Marketing Manager said, “Students will be able to avail of the Buy 1 Bank 1 offer by simply coming into our Spanish Parade store anytime tomorrow and purchasing a main meal.”
The main meals that qualify for the promotion include burritos, fajitas, bowls, and tacos.
Speaking to Galway Pulse, McCullagh said “This is our biggest ever giveaway of free burritos. The campaign is being promoted across our social channels today and tomorrow.”
He also says that alongside this, Brand Ambassadors will be out around the store and the NUIG campus today handing out flyers promoting the Buy 1 Bank 1 promotion.
Additionally, the company is giving one student a chance to win five thousand euros to fund their studies through their ‘Fund Your Studies’ campaign.
“Life at university can be financially challenging at the best of times but this year especially with inflation soaring, students will really be feeling the pinch.”
David Maxwell, Boojum’s Managing Director
The campaign aims to assist in reducing the rising costs of living for a student living in Ireland.
The Mexican food chain is hoping the 5,000-euro prize fund will make a positive impact and alleviate some of the existing financial pressure.
David Maxwell, Boojum’s Managing Director said, “We have always been a student-focused brand and are constantly looking into ways that we can give back to our loyal customer base.”
