Supermac’s is the latest in the string of businesses to announce closure of all outlets to stop the spreading of coronavirus.

The fast-food business announced today that all the outlets under the chain will close down from 7 pm on 26 March.

This decision has been made considering the health and safety of the staff and customers during this rapidly evolving incident.

Indoor seating will be inaccessible to the public from tonight, while the kitchen and the takeaway service will cease from Thursday night.

The wait till Thursday for the closure of the kitchen will provide emergency services that are using the outlets’ facilities for food, with some time to look for alternative arrangements.

Over the past week, free meals have been given out to people working for the emergency services.

Supermac’s chain said in a statement :

“We would like to thank our staff and customers in these challenging times.”
