Man arrested after stabbing three other men in Ballinasloe

A man is arrested in Ballinasloe after three men were stabbed yesterday.

The incident happened around 7 pm in Brackernagh, Ballinasloe on Sunday as a fight went out of control involving four men.

The men injured in the incident all appear to be in their 20’s.

Were rushed to Portiuncula hospital following the incident and received treatment there.

Their injuries are not life-threatening.

Man arrested for the stabbing is detained at the Garda Station in Ballinasloe,

under Section 4, Criminal Justice Act 1984.

A garda spokesperson has said that the four men knew each other well.

As things stand, Gardaí are not looking for further suspects in connection with the incident, but encouraging people to come forward
