Tour de Connemara postponed till August

The ŠKODA Tour de Connemara cycling race that scheduled for the summer has been postponed due to the coronavirus.

The race was scheduled to go ahead on the May 23 but has been put back until Saturday August 29.

The organisers said:“This decision is taken in the best interest of all cyclists, marshalls, event teams and the host communities across Connemara.

“We hope that all will be back to normal at that stage, allowing us to cycle safely together and deliver a fantastic ŠKODA Tour de Connemara 2020 experience for all cyclists.”

The races would involve two races, a 140km and 80km race. Both start and finish in Clifden.

Anyone that is already registered for his event will automatically be put on the rescheduled event.

People have also been given a deadline of March 25 to cancel the registration.
