The Galway Jazz Festival takes place from 3–6 October across multiple venues in the city, featuring an exciting mix of performances from leading local, national and international jazz artists.
The Galway Comedy Festival is returning to the heart of Galway City to bring together the hilarious and witty work from Irish comedians. On 26 October, Galway’s streets will be transformed by the return of the Macnas Halloween Parade. This year’s theme, An Treun – Summoning of the Lost, promises a free, unmissable spectacle filled with giant puppets, live music, and dazzling street performances. The Galway Cartoon Festival runs from 3–8 October, showcasing a playful and thought-provoking mix of cartoons from Irish and international artists, special guests and a range of exhibitions across the city. More information is available here: https://galwaycartoonfestival.ie/
The Baboró International Arts festival for Children will be filling Galway with theatre performances, dance, music and visual arts specially created for younger audiences and their families.
