Traffic lights down by University Hospital, no diversions in place
(*Updated 04/02/2022 12:15pm) The traffic lights are still out of service as of 12:00pm today. It is still unsure when they will be back in operation.
The traffic lights outside University Hospital Galway are out of service and currently no diversions for traffic are in place.
The traffic lights at the intersection of University Road and Newcastle Road have been down since around 3:30pm today.
The Galway City Council say they are aware of the issue, but they could not say when the lights are expected to be functioning properly.
Traffic alert – lights at UCHG had failed and will be out of operation until they are replaced. Expect delays and avoid the area if possible. Lights will likely be replaced by Tuesday.
