Woman arrested following €60,000 cocaine seizure in Galway
€60,000 worth of cocaine seized in Galway
A woman has been arrested following the seizure of €60,000 worth of suspected cocaine in Galway City this morning.
At approximately 10am, Gardaí attached to the Galway Divisional Drugs Unit conducted a search under warrant, at a residence in the Newcastle area.
Gardaí found cocaine with an estimated street value of €60,000.
A woman in her 40s was arrested at the scene and taken to Galway Garda Station.
She has since been released without charge and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
