With restrictions already in place due to the coronavirus, recycling centres in all towns in Galway city and county had to close.

Galway County Council announced yesterday that the centres in Tuam, Clifden, and Ballinasloe will be closed.

They would have closed later but with the Covoid-19 in place involving social distancing of people, that has changed drastically since Friday.

“Due to the revised restrictions in relation to Covoid19 Ireland, recycling centres at Tuam, Clifden & Ballinasloe will be closed until further notice,” read a statement released by the Galway County Council on social media.

The Council have also stated if people want information that they should get in contact with Barna Recycling by contacting them on 091-771619.

People are also told to stay in their homes during the period until 12 April as the Taoiseach announced on Friday night.
