The Cúirt International Festival of Literature has revealed its 2026 programme, marking another year for one of Ireland’s premier literary events.
Presented by the Galway Arts Centre and now in its 41st year, Cúirt remains one of Galway’s most significant festivals, drawing writers and readers to the city each spring.
Running from 21 – 26 April, this year’s programme blends big-name events with new writing showcases, poetry sessions, and exhibitions with topics ranging from climate justice and queer narratives to international fiction and visual art.
One highlight includes a tribute event to the late Manchán Magan who was a regular guest at Cúirt.
The packed line-up also features Ardal O’Hanlon, Louise O’Neill, and Alan Davies with many more writers and artists from Ireland and abroad set to take part.
The launch took place yesterday at the Mick Lally Theatre in Druid Lane, where organisers introduced the festival programme and highlighted what audiences can expect in April.
Programme director Manuela Moser outlined her vision for this year’s theme.
“With this year’s theme ‘Finding the Words‘, we hope this festival offers space to explore how we talk and write about what matters to us most, and in doing so, helps us to process the world around us.”
Tickets are on sale now and full details of the programme can be found here.
