Galway accommodation listed for up to €60,000 ahead of Ryder Cup 2027

Ahead of the 2027 Ryder cup, the contest’s accommodation platform has seen 51 Galway homes already listed with prices ranging from €12,000 to €60,000 for an eight-night stay.

Following Europe’s high-flying triumph at Bethpage Black last weekend, attention is already turning to their next meeting with the US.

In September 2027 the United States and Europe’s top golfers will descend on Adare Manor in County Limerick, for the Ryder Cup’s 100th anniversary.

Following on from outstanding Irish performances- notably Shane Lowry’s clutch putt to retain the cup- 2027 will mark the first time the tournament has been held in Ireland since 2006.

“I think everyone is still on a high since last weekend. Europe winning the Ryder cup is one thing, but to have Shane make that final putt to retain the cup is extra special and I think it will really build the excitement for when it comes here in 2027,” said one Galway local.

With hotels in Limerick expected to book out fast, fans will be looking further afield for places to stay, and Galway is perfectly positioned to benefit.

With 55,000 visitors expected each day, the tournament promises not only world-class golf but a major boost to Galway’s local economy.

The platform provides a sliding scale of recommended rates based on property quality and distance from Adare Manor.

“I know it’s a big weekend, but I didn’t expect prices to be that high. I think it will give a lot of homeowners in Galway something to think about. It’s a great opportunity,” said another Galway local when told how much houses were being rented out for.

Ryder Cup Travel Services, which oversees the official accommodation listings, is offering homeowners two options to rent their properties during the tournament.

The Listed Service, priced at €295, allows owners to manage their own listings, handle enquiries and arrange contracts. For those wanting a more hands-off approach, the Managed Service (€645) provides full support, including listing optimisation, rental valuations, marketing and contract.

With demand already rising, Galway’s inclusion on the official platform underlines its appeal as a convenient and attractive base for golf fans travelling to Ireland.

Just over an hour from Adare Manor, the city’s vibrant food and music scene, combined with its transport links and range of accommodation, make it a natural choice for visitors seeking a mix of sport and culture during Ryder Cup week.

With Tourism Ireland also working closely with Ryder Cup Europe to help maximise the tourism potential of the 2027 event, there is no doubt that this spotlight will prove opportunistic for those in Galway who choose to rent out their properties, as well as for local businesses ready to welcome thousands of international visitors eager to experience the city’s culture, hospitality, and charm.
