Tony O’Kelly-Lynch is a Sligo Senior inter-county hurler and a Sigerson Squad member with NUIG while also managing to be an avid participant in drinking sessions the length and breadth of the country. While it’s obvious Tony is a star on the pitch, we sat down with him to see what makes him tick off it.

1. Pre-match meal?

Peanut butter and toast for an early game and pasta after 1 pm.

2. Favorite player growing up?

Tommy Walsh, Kilkenny.

3. Who is the joker in the dressing room?

Mark Comeford.

4. Favourite pre match song?

Genius by LSD.

5. You win the Lotto, first thing you would buy?

A Rolex watch.

6. When is the last time you cried?

Last Month.

7. Favourite Movie?

Kingsman: The Secret Service.

8. Earliest sporting memory?

Pulling off a save when I was playing in goals for my club as an 8-year-old.

9. Favourite holiday destination and why?

Italy around the 2012 Euros, it had a savage atmosphere around the village that week with Italy making the final.

10. Best player you’ve faced?

Liam Watson, Antrim hurler playing for Warwickshire.

11. Best player you have played with?

Mark Kavanagh, Laois.

12. If you were having a pre-drink and could invite three famous people, who would they be? Why?

Kevin Hart, he’s the funniest man alive, Tommy Bowe because I could shout his name like Ryle Nugent and Elon Musk because he’d have some quality stories to tell.
